November 3, 2020 Election

The Town of Fairfax held a General Municipal Election for three members of the Town Council, each for a term of four years. This election was consolidated with the Presidential General Election on the same date.

The final results were certified to the Town Council on December 2, 2020, and the newly elected Councilmembers were sworn in and seated: Bruce Ackerman, Chance Cutrano, and Barbara Coler.

Resolution Declaring the Results of the November 3, 2020 Election

Campaign Finance. The Political Reform Act requires candidates and committees to file campaign statements and reports so that voters are fully informed about contributions and expenditures in the elections. This information is reported on forms provided by the Fair Political Practices Commission(FPPC). The FPPC is a non-partisan commission that has primary responsibility for the impartial and effective administration of the Political Reform Act, which regulates campaign financing, among other things.  Campaign Statements for the candidates are listed below.

2019 General  Municipal Election

The Town of Fairfax held a General Municipal Election November 5, 2019, for two members of the Town Council, a Town Treasurer, a Town Clerk, and Measure F, the special municipal services tax.

Resolution Declaring the Results of the Election

Terms of Office: As required by state law (SB 415) the Town is switching its elections from odd-numbered years to even-numbered years. To make this change, in 2017 and 2019, officers were elected to a one-time shortened term of 3 years to expire in November of 2020 and 2022, respectively, when the terms will return to 4 years.

2018 Special Municipal Election

The Town of Fairfax Election held a special election on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, when voters considered a local ballot measure. The results of the election were certified to the Town Council at their December 5, 2018, meeting.
