Over 7,500 people call Fairfax, California home- but it’s not just our home. It’s home to plants and animals that coexist and cohabitate with each other and with us.

Join the Fairfax Climate Action Committee’s Sequestration Team in celebrating California’s Biodiversity Day on Saturday, September 7th at the Fairfax library between 10am and 12pm. This event will held be outside in the Library Native Plant & Rain Garden patio areas.

There will be a short speaker series starting at 11am featuring the importance of indigenous knowledge to preserve biodiversity and the role that keystone species can play in backyard restoration and landscaping!

Test your knowledge and try completing the native plant scavenger hunt between 10 and 11am – All ages encouraged to participate!
