The Town of Fairfax is thrilled to announce that we are now accepting proposals for our Artist-in-Residence Program for the 2025-2027 term. This is a unique opportunity for local artists to inspire and engage the Fairfax community through creative projects, classes, and events.
We are seeking three talented and versatile artists to serve as our Artists-in-Residence from April 2, 2025, to April 1, 2027. Artists from all disciplines—graphic design, multimedia, sculpture, culinary arts, and more—are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to those who excel in collaboration and demonstrate proficiency in digital and design tools.
As an Artist-in-Residence, you will:
- Have access to free studio space in the Pavilion Loft and use of Town facilities for classes and workshops.\n
- Receive an annual stipend of $1,500 and a supply budget to support your projects.\n
- Shape community art experiences by hosting classes, workshops, and events such as the Fairfax Festival, Town Picnic, and more.\n
- Be part of a legacy of creative leaders who have enriched our vibrant town.

- Application Deadline: Friday, February 28, 2025, by 5:00 p.m.
- Interviews: Tentatively scheduled for the week of March 10, 2025.
