About the project
The project will reconstruct approximately 120 feet of roadway where a slide has reduced the structural integrity of Fairfax-Bolinas Road near milepost 5.73. The effort will include roadway repair, subsurface drainage, asphalt resurfacing, shoulder backing and roadway striping. To improve integrity and safety of the roadway, the project will also be making roadway upgrades at the culvert near milepost 5.73. The associated drainage improvements require permitting from regulatory agencies.
Planned closures
August 19 to August 23, 2024 (Monday- Friday)
- Full closure of Fairfax-Bolinas Road from Azalea Hill to Ridgecrest. For public and crew safety, BIKES will not have access.
August 24 to August 25, 2024 (Saturday – Sunday)
- Road, which is a popular biking route, will be open for the weekend. Single-lane access with two-way traffic controlled through one lane. This condition is at the construction zone only (milepost 5.73).
August 26 to August 30, 2024
- Full closure of Fairfax-Bolinas Road from Azalea Hill to Ridgecrest. For public and crew safety, BIKES will not have access.
