At the beginning of this year, the Town Council updated the ADU/JADU ordinance and extended the amnesty program another 10 years (expires January 1, 2032). As part of the program all penalties are waived and ALL ADUs/JADUs (legalizing illegal ones or permitting new ones) get 50% permit fees charged. The streamlined permitting process along with the California laws that have been passed in recent years, it’s easier than ever to add an ADU or JADU to your property.
