While the Town does not encourage people to drop off toys at Peri Park, it is something that has been part of the culture of the park for many years. Overall, folks have good intention, bringing down toy cars, scooters, dump trucks to give them more life at the park. The toys usually show up in good condition but after heavy use, sometimes they get broken. We have park clean ups twice a year, in May and November, and we go thru all the toys at the clean up and we get rid of the broken or inappropriate toys. If you see something that seems dangerous, please go to Town Hall during business hours and let us know about the hazard. Or take the toy out of the park, possibly disposing of it yourself.
It is best practice to not bring toys to the park, please keep that in mind and let other parents know that it’s not a good idea.
