At the start of 2024, Fairfax residents Scott and Shannon Tithof, along with their son Lincoln, founded Clean Fairfax, a volunteer group dedicated to keeping their community clean and vibrant. What began as a family effort has grown into a team that includes friends, local business volunteers, and support from organizations like MCSTOPPP and Clean Marin.

Since their first downtown cleanup in March, Clean Fairfax has held six cleanup events this year, collecting an impressive 570 gallons of trash and distributing educational flyers to 155 local businesses. The initiative, now led by Lincoln Tithof, a senior at Archie Williams High School, continues to make a significant impact in maintaining the beauty of Fairfax.

Get Involved!

Clean Fairfax is always looking for more volunteers to expand their efforts. Monthly cleanups focus on key areas in town, but with more helping hands, they hope to cover even more ground. Residents can also contribute by:

  • Adopting a Spot in their neighborhood through the Clean Marin website.
  • Encouraging local businesses to take the Clean Business Pledge and play an active role in keeping Fairfax clean.

Join the movement and help keep Fairfax beautiful! For more information, contact Clean Fairfax or visit Clean Marin online.
