May 22, 2024 Highlights

Consideration and Approval of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Between the Town of Fairfax and Marin Open Space Trust (MOST) Regarding the Acquisition of the Wall Property

Mayor Coler and Town Attorney Janet Coleson presented an overview of the Wall Property acquisition. The Council approved the MOU, which is to memorialize the intent of MOST and the Town of Fairfax to transfer title of the Wall Property to the Town. The purposes of the acquisition are for the protection, restoration, and enhancement of natural resources, wildlife habitat, open space, cultural resources, and compatible public access.

Item #2 was moved up in the agenda to be heard first.

Conduct Public Review for Fiscal Year 2024-25 Proposed Operating and Capital Improvement Budget

Finance Director Michael Vivrette and Town Manager Heather Abrams reviewed implemented revisions from recent Tow Council meetings regarding the FY2024-25 budget. The Council will consider adopting the FY 2024-25 budget at the May 29, 2029, 2024 special Town Council meeting.
