Rain is expected to continue throughout the week. National Weather Service has issued the following advisories:
- Flood Warning until February 5, 07:00 PM PST
- Coastal Flood Advisory in effect from February 6, 06:00 AM PST until February 10, 10:00 AM PST
Town of Fairfax, RVFD, and County staff and equipment are communicating and are prepared for possible emergencies.
Fairfax Charging Station
Due to the extended power outage, a limited number of charging stations have been made temporarily available at the Fairfax Police Department. please be mindful of the limited space and only charge essential electronics for the appropriate time needed.
Starting tomorrow morning
- A charging station will be available at the Pavilion for residents affected by power outages.
- Operating hours: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. until power is restored.
Limited supply of power cords and strips; consider bringing your own if possible.
Power Outages/Downed Power Lines
- Marin and Napa Counties: Outages: 383 / Customers out: 23,301
- PG&E Restoration priorities: areas with downed wires, first responders, critical facilities, largest customer-impacted areas.
- Automated updates will be sent to all customers by PG&E.
- Stay informed using PG&E’s power outage map for reporting and tracking disruptions.
- Request outage updates for yourself or others via phone or email.
Safety During a Power Outage
- Do not call 9-1-1 unless you are having a life-threatening emergency.
- Call (800) 743-5002 or check the PG&E Outage Map for updates.
- Monitor local news for information and updates – local AM radio stations are a good source of information.

Sandbags
Sand, bags, and shovels are available for Fairfax residents at the Skate Park (Pavilion Parking Lot).
